Nature

We intentionally develop a relationship with the natural world.

Children have access to outdoor space, and are encouraged to play outside freely. They learn to observe their ecosystem, become stewards of the space in which they live, and develop a deep connection to the desert over time.

Place-based learning

Our curriculum is grounded in the Sonoran Desert, on Hia C-e and Tohono O'Odham lands.

We learn about desert seasons, desert plants, desert animals, and desert place names. We observe the world around us, and begin to develop an understanding of the histories and cultures of this place.
