Opportunities for sensory exploration include:

  • Dirt, mud, sand, and water play

  • Regular engagement with clay and fresh dough

  • Exposure to natural soundscapes

  • Playscapes that allow for gross motor development

  • Natural elements brought into the classroom that are interesting to see and touch

  • Opportunity to engage with light and shadow

  • Mindfulness exercises
